Homelessness in America is a growing issue. But I feel that as individuals,families,communities,and a nation we can find ways to help.The first and one of the most important steps is to understand and learn about the homeless. Not every person out there is homeless for the same reason.There are many reasons that someone might find their self homeless, such as recent loss of job,running away from home,domestic violence victim, or even drug addiction. We need to make sure that we educate ourselves n many different topics,so no matter what someone maybe going thru or why they might be homeless, we can be there to help them. Another way to help is by donating. You can donate a verity of things from clothes to toys and even your time. Many homeless shelters are non profit organizations, so donations and volunteers are how they stay in business.You can also go door to door at local business to see if they would be willing to donate items or financial help. In the end the best thing you can always do to help the homeless, is to simply HELP , in anyway possiable.
